We were back for another year, and what a year it was! Crufts is the largest dog show in the world, with over 20,000 dogs all competing for that coveted Best In Show. It’s one of our favourite shows as we get to meet so many of you!
Our trip began on Wednesday, when we travelled down to Birmingham to see our stand being built prior to the show. This year we decided to really make an impact with a custom built stand to celebrate our new branding and 50 years since the discovery of AN ProDen® (the ingredient in ProDen PlaqueOff®). The team had already built the stand and we arrived for the finishing touches and to unload all the stock.
Thursday, the first day! We were incredibly excited to get to the NEC and get set up, but the weather had different ideas. On Thursday we woke up to lots of snow around Birmingham, and we did wonder if this would affect the number of visitors…we were wrong! We couldn’t get stock on the shelves fast enough! The day whizzed by and we met lots of new and existing customers.
Friday, the second day! Last year we were taken aback by the number of people saying they have heard about us on social media and wanting to take photos of our stand to help spread the word. Consequently when the team were designing the stand earlier this year we really wanted the perfect photo opportunity – and it went down a storm! Friday saw so many people loving the stand and we started to sell out of some products already.
Saturday was another level of craziness! Crufts is always an incredibly busy show, but we heard many rumours that tickets had actually sold out for that day, and unsurprisingly so did many more of our products. This meant on Saturday evening we had to do a restock and drive back to our premises in Yorkshire to collect more stock for the final day.
Sunday, the final day! With our restock we were full of optimism for a great last day and boy was it fantastic. We were shocked to see on Saturday evening’s coverage of Crufts on Channel 4, there was an oral hygiene feature and ProDen PlaqueOff® was featured! We were overwhelmed by the amount of interest on the final day, which was the perfect end to the show!
The team worked relentlessly for the full four days, so a big thank you to them for the amount of hard work they put in!
