Choose Healthy Dental Sticks for Your Dog

In this article:

Most dogs love to chew – whether it’s for the great taste or simply the joy of biting into something. But choosing the right dental sticks is essential for your dog’s health and safety.  At Swedencare, we actually call them Dental Care Bones. They are shaped like small bones but work just like healthy dental sticks for dogs—helping to reduce plaque, freshen breath, and support overall oral health. Here’s what you should know when selecting dental sticks or bones for dogs.

What Are the Best Dental Sticks for Dogs?

The best dental sticks are those that effectively clean your dog's teeth while being safe and enjoyable. Key features to consider include natural ingredients, a texture that aids in plaque removal, and added benefits like breath freshening. Our Dental Care Bones help oral problems with double action - the active ingredient A.N ProDen® and the bone’s unique shape and abrasive action help control and improve plaque and tartar from forming when used as directed, resulting in a fresher breath.

    Dental Sticks for Small Dogs

Small dogs have unique dental needs due to their jaw size and tooth structure. It's crucial to choose dental sticks specifically designed for smaller breeds to ensure they can chew comfortably and safely. For small dogs, we offer Mini Dental Care Bones – specially designed for smaller breeds while providing the same great oral health benefits. Explore our flavours below.

Are Dental Sticks Bad for Dogs?

Dental sticks are generally beneficial for dogs when used appropriately. However, it's essential to select products made from natural, non-toxic ingredients and to supervise your dog during chewing to prevent choking hazards. Some concerns have been raised about certain dental chews causing digestive issues or being ineffective. To ensure you’re choosing a high-quality and effective product, look for the VOHC seal. This certification guarantees that the dental sticks meet strict standards for oral health benefits. Always choose reputable brands and consult your veterinarian if you have concerns.
